UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Global will host the Penn State Global Careers Institute, a professional development program designed to help Penn State’s international and domestic undergraduate and graduate students prepare for career success in the global marketplace, on April 4-5 on the University Park campus.
Events will be held in the Nittany Lion Inn and sessions will occur in Moore building. Participation in the institute is competitive and by application only. The priority deadline for application for the Institute is Feb. 28; applications open during the first week of February.

“Our international alumni are a big source of pride for Penn State,” said Richard Spicer, assistant director of Global Outreach. “Having alumni who have seen success in their own careers come back to Penn State and share their experience and wisdom is a great benefit for students.”
Students will have the opportunity to network with alumni and speakers throughout the weekend event. Previous speakers have included:
- Aphrodite Biswas, research and development process engineer, i3 Pharmaceuticals
- Nana Yaw Essuman, vice president for data engineering, FanDuel
- Sindura Ganapathi, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India
- Christa Hasenkopf, director, Air Quality Life Index (AQLI) and Air Quality Programs, Energy Policy Institute, University of Chicago
