'Around the World With Penn State' event on study abroad to be held April 10

Spring 2026 Penn State education abroad applications are now open to students

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Global will host "Around the World With Penn State" to inform students of university-approved opportunities to study abroad during the spring 2026 semester.

This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 in the First Floor TV Lounge of the HUB-Robeson Center at University Park. No specific time commitments or pre-event signups are required to attend. Students will arrive and depart as they wish.

University Park students who visit the event will discuss with Penn State Global staff spring 2026 education abroad offerings in regions such as Europe, Latin America, Oceania, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Students who are eager to learn about studying abroad through Penn State can find more information on:

  • Beginning the application process
  • Actions required to successfully study abroad
  • Selecting a program of best fit
  • Courses abroad
  • Funding and scholarship opportunities

One student who signs in at the event will win a free flight scholarship (up to $1,500) for a spring 2026 education abroad experience. This award will be subject to Penn State Education Abroad’s scholarship terms and conditions.

Free snacks, both domestic and international, will be provided for students who attend the event. Attendees will be able to envision a Penn State experience abroad through a gallery of photos taken by recent study abroad alumni. Students are invited to participate in global activities, which will be held at tables throughout the event.

Applications are open for spring 2026 education abroad experiences

Spring 2026 Penn State education abroad applications are open to students. Students who are unable to attend Around the World With Penn State are encouraged to visit the LionsABROAD Portal to search for programs and apply.

Students interested in short-term embedded courses abroad should speak with the academic college or departments administering the course to inquire about any admission or enrollment requirements.
