Voting now open for next Graduate and Professional Student Association Assembly

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), the recognized student government representing all graduate and professional students at Penn State, has opened voting for its executive board and Graduate Council Student Caucus Delegates. Elections will run through March 16 at 5 p.m., with results to be announced later that same day.

The election will determine leadership for the 76th Assembly, which will represent approximately 13,000 graduate and professional students across the University. Positions on the ballot include:

Presidential and vice-presidential tickets:

  • James Gaschler, with running mate Statis Bohle
  • Sumant Dilip Rokade, with running mate Morgan Behe
  • Pochun Hsieh, with no running mate listed

Graduate Council Student Caucus delegate (5 seats available):

  • Jacob Canel
  • Kadhem Aljabr

Key election dates

  • Election Voting Period: March 4, 9 a.m.–March 16, 5 p.m.
  • Results Announced: March 16 at 5 p.m.

All voting will take place online through Discover (formerly OrgCentral). Graduate and professional students may vote at any time during the open voting window.

GPSA serves as the voice of graduate and professional students to University administration, the Board of Trustees, and other decision‑making bodies. The organization also supports academic, professional, and social engagement through programming and advocacy initiatives.

Additional information will be posted on GPSA’s website and Instagram page. The next Assembly meeting is scheduled for March 18, and all students are welcome to attend.
