UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Faculty at Penn State's University Park campus are invited to apply for the spring 2025 Faculty Writing Program, a new initiative aimed at enhancing research and writing productivity.

The program, organized by the Office of Faculty Affairs and the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research, provides an in-person, accountability-focused writing group to support scholarly productivity.

Participants will meet weekly for three-hour sessions, including a 20-minute discussion led by a faculty co-facilitator on topics like goal setting, writing strategies and professionalization. The remaining time is dedicated to focused writing, with participants setting and reporting on goals to foster accountability.

The program is open to full-time faculty of any rank at University Park. Faculty within the College of the Liberal Arts and the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications should apply to programs currently running within their units. Applicants must commit to attending all sessions and reserve the time for research-related writing only. Ten faculty members will be selected for this inaugural group.

Apply to the University Park Faculty Writing Program using this registration form. Applications are due by Friday, Jan. 10. For more information, contact program director Cyanne E. Loyle at cloyle@psu.edu.
