Registration open for Fall 2025 Assessment Workshop Series

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Registration is open for the Fall 2025 Assessment Workshop Series presented by the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (OPAIR). This virtual series includes various assessment topics to support program learning assessment leaders and faculty across the University.  

The workshops are free and open to everyone in the Penn State community. Drop in for one session or join for the full series. Participants can feel free to eat lunch while tuning in on Zoom. 

OPAIR’s Provost Endorsement Program, "Making the Most of Program Assessment," is open to faculty and corresponds with the live workshops being offered here.

Charting Your Course: Fundamentals of Program Assessment Planning 

  • Sept. 25, Noon – 1 p.m. 
  • This workshop will introduce the core components of program-level learning assessment. 

Crafting High-Quality Program Learning Objectives  

  • Oct. 8, Noon – 1 p.m.  
  • This workshop will prepare participants to craft high-quality learning objectives

Linking the Logic: Using Logic Models to Align Academic Assessments 

  • Nov. 13, Noon – 1 p.m.  
  • This session introduces logic models as a tool to help clarify how different ongoing assessment efforts might be leveraged in support of shared goals.  

The Spring 2026 Assessment Workshop Series will be announced in January.
