UNIVERSITY PARK – The Penn State Faculty Senate began its work for the 2026-27 academic year at its Sept. 1 meeting by voting in favor of adding two new World Campus student senators to the senate body. This constitutional revision will bring the total student senator representation from World Campus up to three.
The senate also heard a presentation on Penn State’s AI Essentials artificial intelligence literacy course for students and employees, updates from University leadership, and an informational report.
The next meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 both in person at 112 Kern Building and remotely via Zoom.
