UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Applications for Penn State's Administrative Fellows Program for 2026-27 are due by Thursday, Jan. 29.

Mentors for the 2026-27 academic year will be Fotis Sotiropoulos, executive vice president and provost; Renata Engel, vice president for the Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor; and Jennifer Wilkes, vice president for Human Resources and chief human resources officer.

The Administrative Fellows Program is a joint program of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost (administered by the Center for Faculty Development and Advancement in the Office of Faculty Affairs), and the Commission for Women. It provides professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. By serving under the mentorship of a senior level administrator for the academic year, fellows who are seeking the background necessary to compete at higher levels of administration will have an opportunity to broaden their perspectives and experience.

To apply, candidates must be full-time tenure-line, term non-tenure-line faculty (who hold appointments of five consecutive years or longer) and no term faculty and regular staff employees who have held appointments of five consecutive years or longer. Candidates should demonstrate success in their current positions and have an interest in an administrative career; demonstrate evidence of leadership experience and decision-making ability; have the ability to relate effectively to students, faculty and staff; exhibit a commitment to diversity; and have a willingness to accept a wide variety of assignments.

To make this program accessible to faculty who are deeply engaged in research and graduate student supervision, faculty applicants may now apply at less than a 100%-time commitment, but not below 50%.

Qualified candidates from all University campuses are strongly urged to apply. The starting dates of each fellowship will vary depending on the mentor’s office and the fellow’s commitments.

Applications and additional information are available online on Center for Faculty Development and Advancement website. Direct any questions via email to the Office of Faculty Affairs at facultyaffairs@psu.edu.
