UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will celebrate its 11th GivingTuesday on Dec. 2 — and the College of Engineering invites alumni and friends to be a part of the event by making a gift to support engineering student success.
The College of Engineering is launching several GivingTuesday campaigns, all of which support engineering students by providing them with the resources they need to excel academically and enhance their overall experience. Last year’s seven GivingTuesday campaigns supporting the College of Engineering raised $65,972.27 from 216 gifts made by 212 College of Engineering alumni, parents and friends. This was a 70% increase in dollars raised from the previous year.
“Providing our students with a robust educational experience, both in the classroom and through opportunities outside of it, is one of the many hallmarks that sets Penn State’s engineering programs apart,” said Tonya L. Peeples, Harold and Inge Marcus Dean of Engineering. “The gifts made on this GivingTuesday will ensure that we can continue to pursue excellence at scale and provide our students with an exceptional education and experience. We are grateful to all of the members of our Penn State engineering community who make this possible through their generosity.”

Those interested in contributing to student success in the College of Engineering before December can make an early gift on Penn State’s GivingTuesday event page.
Gifts made on GivingTuesday advance the University’s historic land-grant mission to serve and lead. Through philanthropy, alumni and friends are helping students to join the Penn State family and prepare for lifelong success; driving research, outreach and economic development that grow our shared strength and readiness for the future; and increasing the University’s impact for families, patients and communities across the commonwealth and around the world.
