UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The College of Engineering will celebrate 19 faculty and staff members who have given 25 years of service to Penn State in a ceremony at 2 p.m. April 3 in Kunkle Lounge.
This year's honorees are:
-- LeAnn Anderson, administrative assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering;
-- Ali Borhan, professor of chemical engineering;
-- James Breakall, professor of electrical engineering;
-- Michael Casper, public relations and publications coordinator at the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute;
-- Kenneth Defibaugh, facilities supervisor at the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute;
-- Christopher Duffy, professor of civil engineering;
-- Cathleen Flick, assistant coordinator of research funds at the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute;
-- SherryDawn Jackson, graduate program assistant and manager of academic affairs in the Department of Electrical Engineering;
-- Earl Lehner, technical service at the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute;
-- George Lesieutre, head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering;
-- Lyle Long, Distinguished Professor of Aerospace Engineering and director of the Computational Science Graduate Minor;
-- Nancy Owens, building services clerk, engineering dean's office;
-- Barbara Shaw, professor of engineering science and mechanics;
-- Ray Smyers, financial coordinator at the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute;
-- Rodney Strible, building services clerk, engineering dean's office;
-- Bernhard Tittmann, Schell Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics;
-- Anthony Vallalla, senior systems analyst in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering;
-- Jose Ventura, professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering; and
-- Douglas Werner, John L. and Genevieve H. McCain Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering.
As part of their 25-year award, each honoree is given a commemorative plaque and pin, plus their choice of a Penn State captain's chair, rocking chair or Penn State Elms mantel clock.
