Students, staff and faculty members from Penn State's College of Education share recent research and career achievements.
- Gilberto Q. Conchas, the Wayne K. & Anita Woolfolk Hoy Endowed Chair of Education, is co-editor of a new anthology, "Repertories of Resistance: Pedagogical Dreaming in Transborder Educational Spaces" published by Myers Education Press. The book explores the integral role of dreaming and imagination in pursuing educational justice.
- Erica Frankenberg, professor of education and demography, is lead author of a new article, “K-12 Voluntary Integration As Brown Turns Seventy” in American Journal of Law and Equality.
- Karly Sarita Ford, associate professor of education and sociology, wrote an article for The Conversation, “Campus diversity is becoming difficult to measure as students keep their race and ethnicity hidden on college applications.”
- Brandy Henry, assistant professor of education (rehabilitation and human services), is part of a team of researchers from Penn State and the University of California, Irvine, that has received a one-year, $328,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Aging. The team will study a reentry program for older men transitioning from long-term prison sentences back into their communities.
- Kelly Rosinger, associate professor of education and public policy, is quoted in an Axios article, “What happens if Trump eliminates the Department of Education.”
