Students, staff and faculty members from Penn State's College of Education share recent research and career achievements.
- Mildred Boveda, associate professor of special education, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 TED Social Justice Award. She was recognized during the TED Conference in Kansas City on Nov. 12.
- Wilson Okello, associate professor of higher education, is lead author of a new publication, “Breaking Bread: Loving Critique as Praxis in Scholarship, Collaboration, and Peer Review” in Educational Studies. He also is lead author of an article, “Against the grain: Deep reading as abolitionist praxis in education,” recently published in Curriculum Inquiry.
- Jonte’ Taylor, associate professor of special education, is lead author of a new paper, “Administrative Support for New Teachers of Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in Behavior Support Classrooms” in Beyond Behavior.
