College of Education Alumni Updates highlights career achievements by College of Education alumni.
- Marcy Herr (education and public policy) recently reflected on the conclusion of a transformative chapter with the Institute of International Education after more than seven years supporting global education initiatives across Thailand, Mexico and beyond. During her time with IIE and NYU Abu Dhabi, Herr traveled to 27 countries, helping connect students worldwide with international education opportunities and cross-cultural experiences.
- Rebekah Severe (education and public policy) was recently honored with the City of New York’s Mayoral Service Recognition Award for her outstanding volunteer and community engagement efforts throughout 2025. Severe, who serves as a senior program director at Counseling In Schools, was recognized for her commitment to civic engagement, youth service-learning initiatives and expanding volunteer partnerships across New York City.
