UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State has begun a national search for the next associate vice president for alumni relations and chief executive officer of the Penn State Alumni Association.
This leader will guide one of the world’s largest and most active alumni networks — more than 800,000 strong — overseeing programs, publications, events and volunteer engagement that connect Penn Staters everywhere. This position will lead the Alumni Association's strategic direction, oversee operations and strengthen connections across Penn State’s alumni network.
The search is being conducted in partnership with Lindauer Global, a firm specializing in executive recruitment for higher education and nonprofits. The new CEO will report to the University’s vice president for development and alumni relations and collaborate closely with the Alumni Association’s volunteer board.
The new CEO/AVP will lead a team of more than 60 staff and collaborate with the Alumni Association’s volunteer leadership to deliver compelling programs, publications (including the Penn Stater magazine), events and outreach that deepen alumni engagement and drive philanthropy.
The successful candidate will serve as a prominent ambassador for Penn State, shaping the future of alumni relations and aligning the association’s work with the University’s broader goals.
The association's board and the search committee are committed to placing a leader who listens to alumni voices, fosters inclusive connectivity, and leverages innovative approaches in higher education and alumni relations.
