UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State THON 2027 Executive Committee announced the theme for THON 2027 — "Where Our Imagination Shines" — during the Homecoming parade on Sept. 25. THON 2027 will take place the weekend of Feb. 19-21, 2027.
"THON is a place where kids can be kids. We imagine a world where one day no parent has to hear the words, 'your child has cancer.' A world where we are dancing in celebration of a cure," the executive committee shared in a written statement. "The THON community comes together year after year, sharing this collective vision. And with that imagination carrying us forward, we are proud to share that the theme for THON 2027 is “Where Our Imagination Shines."
Since 1977, THON has raised more than $273 million to support its sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds, at Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Penn State THON is the largest student-powered philanthropy in the world, committed to enhancing the lives of Four Diamonds children and families impacted by childhood cancer. THON is comprised of more than 16,500 Penn State student volunteers who aim to provide emotional and financial support to Four Diamonds families, as well as to spread the mission of THON and bring awareness to childhood cancer.
