NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Students in the Energy and the Environment course (EGEE 101) at Penn State New Kensington will present interactive projects on how electrical power systems, such as transmission and distribution, are adapting to extreme weather events and a changing climate during the Climate Resilience and Adaptation Project Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the campus Art Gallery.

Students will use studies from the Electric Power Research Institute’s Climate READi initiative to guide their research and analysis, applying industry-based tools to inform their work. The event builds on conversations from the campus’s Climate Resilience and Adaptation Design Symposium held in December 2025 and is designed to engage both the campus and surrounding community.

The project fair is free and open to the public. Community members, including K-12 students, educators and families, are encouraged to attend. Those interested in attending are asked to register in advance.
