Student group to host 'Out of the Darkness' walk for suicide prevention

The second annual "Out of the Darkness" Walk for Suicide Prevention will be held on April 27, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at Penn State. 

The event, which will begin at 11 a.m. starting at the HUB-Robeson Center lawn, aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and provide support for those who have lost loved ones to suicide.

"We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make a significant impact on mental health advocacy," said Mia Nasser, president of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at Penn State. "At last year's walk we were able to raise over $36,000 and had more than 540 participants!"
