UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Members of the Penn State community are invited to a virtual town hall focused on the Commonwealth Campuses on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The town hall, hosted by Fotis Sotiropoulos, executive vice president and provost, and Renata Engel, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor, will discuss their visits this fall to all 20 Commonwealth Campuses, where they’ve been meeting with students, faculty, staff and campus leadership. Sotiropoulos and Engel will answer questions, reflect on key themes and ideas that emerged, and discuss work underway to develop a vision and strategy for the future.

“The conversations throughout the fall with each campus community have been candid, constructive and deeply engaging,” Engel said. “This town hall provides an opportunity to connect what we heard across our visits and to continue addressing questions about ongoing campus transitions and our shared future.”

The event will be the final in a series of town halls during the fall semester, following the State of State update on Oct. 30 and the research town hall on Nov. 3. Penn State faculty, staff and students can attend the town hall online via Microsoft Teams. Registration is not required.

During the town hall on Dec. 9, Sotiropoulos and Engel will be joined by leaders of the campus transition workstreams to answer questions submitted during the livestream and in advance (add your question here). They also will draw from questions previously submitted for the Oct. 30 State of State event.
