UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — An event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of civil-rights activist Malcolm X (1925-65), will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Hintz Family Alumni Center on the University Park campus.
This centenary celebration will feature several keynote addresses; a faculty and student panel discussion on Malcolm X's life and legacy; and community engagement and performances.
A reception will follow from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hintz Alumni Center.
