UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Residential Dining is opening a kosher dining location in North Food District for the fall 2025 semester.

According to Amy Bressler, director of Residential Dining, the new eatery, Nosh Kosher Deli, will resemble a modern kosher deli with a menu aiming to satisfy both Penn State’s Jewish community as well as all faculty, staff, students and guests. The menu will include specialty sandwiches, matzo ball soup, potato latkes, and desserts such as fresh-baked cookies and chocolate rugelach. There also will be special menus for holidays like Passover. A certified Mashgiach (Jewish supervisor) will provide daily oversight of the facility to ensure it meets kosher requirements.

“We are excited to open this new dedicated kosher station," Bressler said. “The menu and atmosphere at Nosh are things we feel our guests will love and will be a welcome addition to Residential Dining.”

PURE at East Food District will now be a dedicated allergen-friendly station that will continue to serve kosher-friendly meat options.

Nosh will be open Sunday-Thursday for lunch and dinner exclusively on mobile ordering through Penn State Eats, available on the Penn State Go app.
