Community reminded of resources to support mental health, safety and well-being

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As fall semester classes and activities shift into high gear, Penn State leaders are reminding students and employees of the wide range of services and resources that are available to support their safety, well-being and mental health.  

FOR STUDENTS 

  • Penn State Crisis Line: 1-877-229-6400 or text “LIONS” to 741741 

    • The Penn State Crisis Line (1-877-229-6400) and the Penn State Crisis Text Line (text “LIONS” to 741741) are available 24/7 to Penn State students experiencing mental health concerns. The Penn State Crisis Line also can be used for consultation by those who are concerned about a Penn State student. The Penn State Crisis Line can be used at all campuses. The caller must be in the U.S.

  • Community and Belonging Resources 

FOR EMPLOYEES 

  • Penn State’s Employee Assistance Program, a free, confidential employee and family resource to be used as the first line of defense for personal or work-related concerns for employees and their families.
