MEDIA, Pa. — Penn State Brandywine launched student-run podcast “We Are Chattin’” on Nov. 12. Managed through the Office of Strategic Communications, “We Are Chattin’” is hosted by Ava Clements and Natalie DiMario, fourth-year communications majors who also work part-time for the office.
“We Are Chattin’” is a podcast that tells the stories of the students, faculty, staff and alumni that make Brandywine so special, said Clements. Episodes run about 20-30 minutes and will be released biweekly throughout the fall and spring semesters.
“What excites me most about developing ‘We Are Chattin’’ is the opportunity to show the work we do in the Strategic Communications office through a creative and engaging platform,” said Clements.
“Having the chance to connect with current students, alumni, faculty and staff allows us to have meaningful conversations that go beyond the traditional communication we experience each day," Clements added. "I’m thrilled to see how the podcast will inspire and bring the Penn State Brandywine community even closer together!”
The podcast will be available for streaming on most platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube. Links are available on the Penn State Brandywine website.
“What excites me most about putting this podcast together is being able to have a platform for myself and others to share how special Penn State Brandywine is and how it has impacted the lives of those involved with the campus, whether it be students, faculty, staff, alumni or those simply passing through,” said DiMario.
“I am looking forward to meeting new people and hearing their unique stories about Brandywine as well as applying what I have learned in my communications classes and campus job to host this podcast," DiMario added.
The first podcast episode features Amanda Paez, a fourth-year business student with a focus in accounting. The episode will delve into Paez’s transition into college after serving in the U.S. Navy for eight years; how she juggles being a mom, a student and a business owner; and what her plans are for post-graduation in May.
“We Are Chattin’” is recorded and filmed in the Brandywine LaunchBox’s on-campus Maker Space. The Maker Space, which opened in fall 2025, features a podcast studio, a 3D printer room and more — all amenities for students to use for free.
