MEDIA, Pa. — Penn State Brandywine will host its annual Homecoming & Family Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Starting with Penn State Day in the morning, Homecoming & Family Day will be packed with alumni, current and prospective students, families, faculty and staff participating in various activities.
The free event will feature a fall-themed menu, Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream, carnival games, pumpkin painting, t-shirt making, inflatables, tie-dye and more. Attendees will also be able to watch the Penn State Brandywine volleyball team play against Penn State Abington on campus.
“Homecoming & Family Day at Penn State Brandywine is a special time for our entire community to return to campus and celebrate a place that has made a lasting impact on their lives,” said Dana Hallahan, assistant director of alumni relations.
“Whether it is alumni walking the halls where they earned their degrees, families experiencing their students’ college life firsthand, faculty and staff reconnecting with those they have mentored, or students taking a well-deserved break from the semester’s work, Homecoming & Family Day is a time for everyone to come together and feel proud to be part of the Brandywine family," Hallahan said.
Following the homecoming activities, Brandywine Benefitting THON will host luxury bag bingo in the Student Union to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Cost to attend is $30 per person with extra bingo sheets available for $10.
Attendees must register for Homecoming & Family Day ahead of the event. Penn State Brandywine is located at 25 Yearsley Mill Road in Media, Pennsylvania.
