MEDIA, Pa. — The Penn State Brandywine Office of Strategic Communications released a new episode of “We Are Chattin’” on Wednesday, Sept. 16, featuring Eshani Lee, associate professor of chemistry. In the latest episode, student hosts Mary Kate Cosgrove and Natalie DiMario talk with Lee about what led her to working in the sciences and her passion to teach students chemistry in a way for students to understand easily.
“My family immigrated from India to Southern California, and I was learning science at the same time as learning English, so that experience really shaped me,” Lee said. “I pursued a career path that was very research focused, and I was trying to get my Ph.D. in chemistry and I got it. But, along the way, I discovered that what I love wasn't just doing science, but it was also helping others understand science. Teaching allowed me to combine those two things: my chemistry passion and my desire to support students of different backgrounds.”
