MEDIA, Pa. — The Brandywine LaunchBox will be offering its first set of youth camps this summer. Camps will be run by Penn State Brandywine staff, students and community partners, and will offer three camps for ages 11-18, including entrepreneurship and podcast creation.

“Our immersive, scholarship-based summer camps are all about giving middle and high school students a place to be creative, build confidence and develop real-world entrepreneurial skills in a fun and supportive environment,” said Tony Mattei, director of entrepreneurship and digital marketing.

“We developed this program because we wanted young people to have access to the kind of opportunities, mentorship and encouragement that can truly change the direction of their future," Mattei said. "Through goal setting, teamwork and mentorship from industry guest speakers, we’re helping students discover their potential, believe in their creativity and bring their visions to life.”

Launch Camp – Clothing Line Creation Workshop

Launch Camp is for ages 11-18 to teach middle and high school students how to create and launch their own t-shirt lines. By the end of the program, students will have designed a mini collection, developed a brand identity and created a basic launch and marketing plan.

Ages 11-14 will have a five-week, five-day-a-week camp from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting June 15 and ending July 17. Ages 15-18 will have a three-week, five-day-a-week camp from 1-5 p.m. starting June 15 and ending July 2.

Opportunity to Launch – Business LaunchPad Program

Opportunity to Launch is a camp for ages 15-18 that empowers young entrepreneurs to turn big dreams into real results. Through goal-setting, action planning and proven accountability tools like progress trackers and weekly check-ins, students will learn how to stay focused and follow through. Hands-on group activities and peer circles foster collaboration and connection with like-minded peers on a growth journey.

Ages 15-18 will have a two-week, five-day-a-week camp from 1-5 p.m. starting July 6 and ending July 17.

Audio Visual Program – Podcasting

Audio Visual Program is a camp for ages 11-18 to teach middle and high school students how to create and launch their own podcast. By the end of the program, students will know how to use tools including Canva, CapCut and Adobe. They will also understand recording, mixing, mastering, branding and marketing their podcast, media distribution and return-on-investment strategy.

Ages 11-14 will have a five-week, five-day-a-week camp from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting July 20 and ending August 21. Ages 15-18 will also have a five-week, five-day-a-week camp starting July 20 and ending August 21, running from 1-5 p.m.

All three camps are made possible through grants provided by Meridian Fund and Halliday Properties Youth Programs.
