MEDIA, Pa. — The Brandywine Alumni Society will be a sponsor for “Dining Under the Stars” — a weekly outdoor dining event held Wednesday evenings on State Street in Media — throughout September. As part of the Media community, the Brandywine Alumni Society is an event sponsor for the fifth year in a row.
“For five years, 'Dining Under the Stars' has provided the Brandywine Alumni Society with an incredible platform to showcase Penn State Brandywine and connect with the wider Media community,” said Dana Hallahan, assistant director of alumni relations at Penn State Brandywine.
“Our members enjoy sharing stories, meeting fellow Penn Staters and introducing community members to resources such as the library and LaunchBox that are open and available to them. The event continues to increase awareness of our campus and the impact it has on the lives of students, alumni and our neighbors.”
The Alumni Society is looking forward to getting back on State Street in September, as this is one of Media’s larger events throughout the year, said Alumni Society President Michelle Haskins. She added that the event is a great way to connect with the community and show them what Brandywine has to offer.
“We are excited to be participating in 'Dining Under The Stars' for the fifth year in a row. It has become a hallmark event for the society and is one of the largest recurring events in Delaware County,” she said.
“As Penn State Brandywine ambassadors, it gives us the opportunity to show off how amazing the campus is as well as brag about the robust four-year degrees and sports programs offered. We especially love connecting with local alumni and inviting them to get involved with the society. We look forward to seeing everyone there this year!”
The Brandywine Alumni Society table at “Dining Under the Stars” will be stationed near 24-26 W. State Street throughout September and will feature Brandywine campus units each week.
Brandywine Student Affairs will be represented on Sept. 2; University Libraries and Brandywine Admissions will be represented on Sept. 9; Brandywine Academic Affairs will be showcasing faculty and student research on Sept. 16; the Brandywine LaunchBox will be represented on Sept. 23; and Brandywine Financial Aid will be represented on Sept. 30.
