WYOMISSING, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to a visitation program at Penn State Berks from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Beaver Athletics & Wellness Center, located just off Broadcasting Road in Wyomissing. The event is part of the University's "Penn State Day" in which Penn State campuses throughout the state host visitation programs during the months of September and October. Attendees must register in advance.
From 9 to 9:25 a.m., students will hear a welcome and an admissions presentation followed by breakout sessions with Penn State Berks students and alumni. The breakout sessions will be centered around the themes of athletics, the value of a Penn State degree, and the opportunities at Penn State Berks.
Then from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., students will take a full campus tour with Lion Ambassador student tour guides. An Academic and Support Services Resource Fair will be ongoing throughout the event, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., where attendees will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from various academic majors, support services, and student clubs and organizations.
This year, Penn State Day is embracing the Berks homecoming theme of celebrating Penn State pride. Attendees and their families are invited to join the homecoming festivities following the program to begin creating lasting memories. Homecoming features a picnic and many other activities. Attendees will be asked to confirm that they will be staying for the homecoming picnic when they register for Penn State Day and meal tickets will be distributed at event check-in to those who registered.
All students who attend Penn State Day, and have not yet applied, will have the $65 Penn State application fee waived.
