WYOMISSING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks International Klub will host its third annual Diwali Garba Night on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center. The event will include Garba workshop, dancing, music, refreshments and crafts. This event is free and open to the public, but advanced registration is recommended.

Garba is a traditional form of dance originating in India, often performed during Hindu festivals, including Navratri and Diwali. Dancers move in rhythmic, synchronized steps while clapping or twirling, often wearing colorful, embroidered clothing adorned with intricate patterns. The lively music, typically featuring drums and folk instruments, sets a joyful, energetic atmosphere, embodying themes of celebration and unity.
