READING, Pa. — Out of an abundance of caution, University Police and Public Safety conducted protective sweeps last night at Penn State Berks after receiving an unsubstantiated threat via telephone at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Authorities responded to the scene immediately, and the threat was quickly found to not be credible. An all-clear was issued at 9:11 p.m.
University Police and their external partners in law enforcement are committed to protecting the safety of the University community and fully investigate any potential threat to safety.
