Penn State students earn eight nominations in national broadcasting competition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Productions by Penn State students earned eight nominations in five different categories as part of a nationwide competition coordinated by College Broadcasters Inc.

Penn State Student Media also was nominated as Video Channel of the Year in the competition that annually recognizes outstanding work in audio, video, news, sports, storytelling, promotion and digital presence. Winners will be announced at the CBI national convention in Philadelphia in October.

CBI is a member-driven organization serving students and advisers of college and high school electronic media outlets. Through events, programs and a network of expertise, the organization provides members with educational and professional opportunities and facilitate advocacy.
