UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication will recognize four distinguished leaders whose careers exemplify a steadfast commitment to ethical communication. Participating in the ninth annual Page Center Awards are honorees Kaitlan Collins, chief White House correspondent and anchor at CNN; Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic; Hubert Joly, Harvard Business School faculty member and former CEO of Best Buy; and Kelli Parsons, CEO of Avoq.
The awards will be presented in a free, virtual event at 7 p.m. ET on March 23. Through in‑depth Q&A conversations, honorees will reflect on pivotal moments in their careers, offer practical guidance and illustrate how integrity has shaped their professional success. The event with re-air at noon ET on March 24. Registration is free and open to the public.
“We want to showcase what integrity looks like, but also that it exists across disciplines at the highest levels of public communication,” said Denise Bortree, Page Center director and interim dean of the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State. “Kaitlan, Jeffrey, Hubert and Kelli are values-driven communicators, and we welcome them into our distinguished group of Larry Foster Awards recipients.”
Collins is the anchor of "The Source with Kaitlan Collins" and serves as CNN’s chief White House correspondent. She has broken major stories, conducted numerous exclusive interviews and is recognized as one of the most influential voices in today's news media.
Goldberg was named editor in chief of The Atlantic in 2016. He is the 15th person to serve as editor in the publication's 168-year history. On his watch, The Atlantic has set audience and subscription records, and won its first-ever Pulitzer Prizes. Goldberg is also the moderator of "Washington Week With The Atlantic" on PBS.
Appearing on top CEO lists for years, Joly is the former chairman and CEO of Best Buy. Today, he is a faculty member at Harvard Business School, where he co-leads programs that support the growth of CEOs and senior executives.
Joining the advocacy firm Avoq on Feb. 2, Parsons is a respected leader with experience guiding communication and marketing strategies for Fortune 50 companies. Prior to Avoq, Parsons was CEO of the agency Hill & Knowlton.
Honorees receive a Larry Foster Award for Integrity in Public Communication, which is given to trusted leaders who exhibit integrity in their life and work. The award is named after the late Larry Foster, a distinguished 1948 Penn State alumnus. To date, the Page Center has honored 29 renowned and respected communicators from several fields, including business, journalism, public relations and public service.

About the Page Center Awards
Located in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State, the Page Center is a research center that advances integrity in all forms of public communication. It was founded by public relations legend Larry Foster, a distinguished Penn State alumnus and the namesake of the Center’s integrity award.
The purpose of the Page Center Awards is to celebrate icons of ethics, integrity and truth in public communication. The event supports innovative research by Page Center scholars and educational opportunities for students studying in communication fields. The center’s research projects aim to build the scholarly and public understanding of ethics in communication. To date, the center awarded more than $1 million in research funding to more than 350 scholars from around the world.
Areas of focus include corporate social advocacy, digital ethics, sustainability communication, advocacy, fake news and more. Other center initiatives focus on educational opportunities like regular speaker series, oral history archiving and an online educational ethics module program that has reached nearly 30,000 students.
