UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A video project produced by Penn State students that offered a glimpse at housing options and the sense of community in the Schreyer Honors College earned two awards in an international competition that honors video and television across all screens.

CommAgency, the student-driven creative agency housed in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, earned the awards in two different categories for a video it created for the Schreyer Honors College.

Specifically, the video was honored with a Silver Telly in the Educational Institution category and a Bronze Telly in the Student category.

CommAgency regularly partners with units across the University for video projects that meet needs of those units and provide hands-on experience. The videos have been award winners in international competitions with regularity, too.

“It was exciting to work with the Schreyer Honors College again on this project, having worked previously with them in the spring of 2024,” said Catie Grant, director of CommAgency and an assistant teaching professor in the Bellisario College. “The team had a fantastic time concepting and producing for the honors college, with a few members getting to combine their Bellisario College experience with their Schreyer one.”

The 46th annual Telly Awards received more than 13,000 submissions from all 50 states and five continents this year. The awards, which are judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies, were established in 1979.
