ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend pitcher Abby Tingley earned her 250th career strikeout in a win over Mt. Aloysius on April 3. Tingley, a senior from Union City, threw a complete game, allowing just two hits. She struck out nine batters.
The team won both games:

- Penn State Behrend 6, Mt, Aloysius 4
The baseball team was 3-1 on the week:
- Penn State Behrend 22, Hilbert 11
- Penn State Behrend 14, Hilbert 3
- Hilbert 4, Penn State Behrend 2
- Penn State Behrend 7, Westminster 2
Dylan Barnes, a junior from Pittsburgh, was five-for-five in the first game against Hilbert. He hit three home runs and earned a career-high 10 RBIs. He also scored a home run against Westminster.
Adam Cooper, a junior from State College, hit a three-run home run in the nightcap.
Behrend’s track and field and volleyball teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:
Men’s track and field
Carter Tobin, a sophomore from Irwin, won the 100-meter dash at the Dave Labor Alumni Invitational. He finished in 10.44 seconds – a school record. He placed fourth in the 200-meter race, finishing in 21.32 seconds.
Behrend’s 4x100 relay team – Marshall Nock, Tobin, Jake Egizio and Brandon Konieczki – won, finishing in 41.23 seconds.
Women’s track and field
Jessica Park, a senior from East Meadow, New York, set a school record in the hammer throw at the Dave Labor Alumni Invitational. She completed a 43.25-meter throw, placing 15th.
Lindsey Hartle, a senior from Pittsburgh, placed fourth in the 10,000-meter run, finishing in 41:44.36. Kelsey Hanna, a freshman from Cranberry, placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 19:06.92.
Men’s volleyball
- Penn State Behrend 3, Houghton 0
Daniel Easly, a senior from Erie, had eight kills. Luke Mumpower, a senior from North Huntington, had 25 assists.
