STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Join the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and Maestro Gerardo Edelstein for its second season concert, "Romantic Reflections," to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, in the Penn State Recital Hall, Music Building I, University Park.
The concert will include performances of Coleridge-Taylor’s "Noveletten Nos. 2 and 3," as well as Saint-Saëns’s dazzling "Piano Concerto No. 2" featuring Katherine Benson, and Brahms’s majestic "Haydn Variations."
In addition, Suzuki students from the Music Academy will be featured in a special pre-concert performance on the Recital Hall stage.
Edelstein, professor of orchestral studies and conducting at Penn State, also is music director for the University's Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Penn's Woods Music Festival.
