UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Actor and comedian Eddie Griffin will bring his “Eddie Griffin and Friends” show to the Bryce Jordan Center at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025. The performance will take place the evening before Penn State Football’s matchup against Villanova, offering fans a night of comedy to kick off the weekend.
Griffin launched his career in stand-up comedy in 1990, after taking the stage on a dare at a Kansas City comedy club. Since then, he has become known for his energetic stage presence and sharp comedic style, in addition to memorable roles on screen. His film credits include the cult favorite "Undercover Brother" (2002), as well as appearances in "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" (1999) and "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" (2005). In 2018, he portrayed “The Pastor” in the Academy Award–winning film "A Star is Born," opposite Dave Chappelle, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
On the comedy stage, Griffin has released several acclaimed specials, including "DysFunktional Family" (2003), "You Can Tell ’Em I Said It" (2011), and "Eddie Griffin: Undeniable" (2018).
