UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Bryce Jordan Center will welcome “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost for a live stand-up performance on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Brought to the University Park campus by the Penn State Student Programming Association (SPA) Lectures Committee, the one-night-only event gives students and fans an opportunity to see one of comedy’s most recognizable voices live on stage.

Jost, a Staten Island native, has been a writer for “Saturday Night Live” since 2005 and has served as co-anchor of the show’s iconic “Weekend Update” segment alongside Michael Che since 2014. Known for his sharp wit and timely political humor, Jost has become a defining voice of late-night comedy.

In addition to his television work, Jost is a New York Times-bestselling author of the memoir “A Very Punchable Face” and wrote the coming-of-age comedy film “Staten Island Summer.” His acting credits include appearances in “How to Be Single,” “Coming 2 America,” and “Tom & Jerry.”

Throughout his career, Jost has earned five Writers Guild Awards, two Peabody Awards and 18 Emmy nominations for his work on “Saturday Night Live.” In 2025, he received two Emmy Awards for his work as a producer and writer on “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” along with a Sports Emmy Award for serving as an NBC Sports correspondent during the surfing competition at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Tickets for the Bryce Jordan Center performance are $20 for both Penn State students and the general public. Student ticket sales began at noon on Tuesday, March 3, with public sales opening at noon on March 6. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
