UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will celebrate its 11th GivingTuesday on Dec. 2, and the College of Arts and Architecture invites alumni and friends to be a part of the event by making a gift to one or more of 13 campaigns across the college, benefiting student success, scholarships, music ensembles, alumni initiatives, theater performances and academic unit priorities.
“In the College of Arts and Architecture, we are lucky to have donors who support wide-ranging programs in the arts and design and beyond. Our 13 campaigns this year reflect areas across the college — from scholarships to program support to performing arts ensembles — that we hope will resonate with donors and inspire a gift on GivingTuesday,” said Robin Seymour, director of development and alumni relations.
The College of Arts and Architecture is raising support for the following campaigns:
- Penn State Glee Club
- Penn State Blue Band
- Alumni Society Scholarships
- Lanny and Kristin Sommese Endowment
- Penn State Centre Stage
- School of Music Student Success Fund
- Penn State Concert Choir
- Architecture Alumni Group
- Pitch Exploration Lab
- Student Success at the Center for the Performing Arts
- Engaged Learning in Art History
- Ryan Russell Award for Design Excellence in Graphic Design
- Landscape Architecture Alumni Endowment Fund
True to Penn State GivingTuesday tradition, the celebration is kicking off early on Monday, Dec. 1, at 18:55 (6:55 p.m. EST) — a nod to the year in which the University was founded. Those interested in contributing to the College of Arts and Architecture’s campaigns before December can make an early gift on Penn State’s GivingTuesday event page.
Gifts made on GivingTuesday advance the University’s historic land-grant mission to serve and lead. Through philanthropy, alumni and friends are helping students to join the Penn State family and prepare for lifelong success; driving research, outreach and economic development that grow our shared strength and readiness for the future; and increasing the University’s impact for families, patients and communities across the commonwealth and around the world.
