YORK, Pa. — A Penn State alum who is one of the leaders behind the ongoing renovation of Beaver Stadium is coming to speak at Penn State York.

The York County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and the Penn State York Engineering Affiliate Program Group are partnering to bring Dwayne Rush, Penn State class of 1987 in engineering, to campus from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19. This event is open to the public.

Registration is required and can be done at this link.

Rush, who was a student manager for the Penn State football team when he was an undergraduate in the 1980s, is now overseeing the massive renovation of Beaver Stadium, which is set to be finished in 2027.

This event is being held in advance of National Engineers Week, held this year from Feb. 22 to 28.

A networking portion of the event will start at 6 p.m., and Rush will begin speaking at 6:30 p.m. Light "stadium fare" will be provided.
