Seven volunteer leaders elected to Alumni Council

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Seven alumni leaders have been voted onto Alumni Council — the Penn State Alumni Association’s governing board — and will begin their terms on July 1.

New members elected to serve on Alumni Council, along with their vote totals, are:

  • Casey Moore, class of 1989, engineering: 4,077
  • Wendy Forrest Edgar, class of 1992, health and human development; class of 2023 (graduate degree), nursing: 4,014
  • Eric J. Young, class of 1980, liberal arts: 3,279
  • Scott Gaydos, class of 1993, business: 3,152
  • Brian “Norm” McAllister, class of 1996, agricultural sciences: 3,105
  • Tiziana Mazzarella, class of 1990, agricultural sciences: 3,094
  • Jonathan C. Savage, class of 1982, earth and mineral sciences: 3,081

A total of 7,937 voted out of 143,308 eligible voters (5.54%). YesElections certified the election results.

Each elected member will serve a three-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. In addition, seven appointed members will be named later this month and will serve the same term. The elected members’ ballot statements are available to read on the Alumni Association’s election page.

Alumni Council is an all-volunteer governing body that advises and guides the Alumni Association on strategic priorities to uphold its mission of service and support to Penn State. Alumni members of the Alumni Association are eligible to vote in the annual election.
