'Roar Tour' events planned for Rutgers

Alumni Association will host a mixer and pep rally leading up to the contest against the Scarlet Knights (Nov. 28-29)

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Alumni and fans traveling to Penn State football's road game against Rutgers are invited to attend that weekend's "Roar Tour" events. Hosted by the Penn State Alumni Association, these events give Penn Staters a chance to unite on the road before cheering on the Nittany Lions. 

Roar Tour Friday Night Mixer (Nov. 28)

Get ready to roar with Penn Staters the night before the game at Lucky Strike North Brunswick. Enjoy performances from the Penn State Pep Band, Penn State cheerleaders, and Nittany Lion at this event open to Penn Staters of all ages. 

There is no cost to attend, though registration is required. The fun will begin at 7 p.m. 

Roar Tour Pep Rally (Nov. 29)

Get ready for kickoff with performances from the Penn State Pep Band, Penn State cheerleaders, and Nittany LionPlus: This event is an official pick-up location to score this season's exclusive fan pin while supplies last.

There is no cost to attend, though registration is required. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., ahead of the 3:30 p.m. kickoff. 

Chapter watch parties 

The Alumni Association has more than 100 alumni chapters across the country and many host watch parties during the football season. Alumni Association membership includes access to 275 affiliate groups and local chapters with no additional fees or dues. Find a local chapter on the Alumni Association’s website. Many listings have links for the chapter's website, social channels and contact information. Members also can browse the website for group events. Check back often for updates.
