Nittany Lion legend LaVar Arrington brings trademark energy to Roar Tour lineup

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With the 2026 Penn State football season underway, registrations continue to roll in for this year’s Roar Tour lineup — and the season just got bigger.

The Penn State Alumni Association is teaming up with Penn State football legend and two-time All-American linebacker LaVar Arrington to bring extra energy, insight and Nittany Lion pride to Roar Tour events throughout the season.

Roar Tour events bring Penn State pride on the road and at home, creating high-energy gatherings where alumni can connect, celebrate, and experience the excitement of game day together. Arrington will appear throughout the Roar Tour lineup, sharing his game-day perspective, connecting with fellow Penn Staters, and helping fans get ready for kickoff.

Whether celebrating White Out Weekend in Happy Valley, gathering with alumni before the Maryland game, or joining fellow Penn Staters on the road, the Roar Tour offers unforgettable opportunities to connect with the Penn State community and make your game-day experience even more memorable. Pregame at Hintz | Friday, Oct. 9

Kick off White Out Weekend at the Hintz Family Alumni Center with Penn Staters from across the country. The event will feature offerings from the Central PA Tasting Trail, local food favorites, appearances by the Penn State cheerleaders and the Nittany Lion, and a VIP lanyard and commemorative pin. With early-bird pricing available until Sept. 12, this limited-capacity event is likely to sell out.

Washington Sailgate | Saturday, Nov. 7

For the first-ever Penn State Sailgate, Nittany Lions fans will cruise aboard the Spirit of Seattle before Penn State battles Washington, in a truly unique celebration featuring performances from the Pep Band Trumpet Line, Penn State cheerleaders and Nittany Lion. The Washington Sailgate has sold out, though Penn Staters can sign up for the Welcome Party the night before at Tom's Watch Bar. Registration is free.

Maryland Pep Rally | Saturday, Nov. 28

Join fellow Nittany Lions in College Park before Penn State takes on Maryland. Hear the Pep Band, enjoy performances by the Penn State cheerleaders and Nittany Lion, pick up a VIP lanyard and collectible pin, and celebrate alongside alumni and fans before kickoff. Registration is free but required.

Away Game Welcome Parties

Roar Tour Welcome Parties bring Penn Staters together the night before kickoff for camaraderie, traditions, and plenty of Blue and White spirit. Registration is free, and fans are encouraged to sign up in advance.
