UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Hundreds of Penn State stories now populate the Alumni Plaza, which serves as a pathway to the front entrance of the Hintz Family Alumni Center, the tangible “home away from home” for Penn State's 800,000-plus alumni.
Pavers can celebrate a milestone such as graduation, remember a cherished time, or show Penn State pride, and are available in 6x12", 6x6" and 4x8" sizes. Orders received by Aug. 1 will be included in the fall 2026 installation.
The Alumni Plaza has proven especially popular among groups, including the Penn State chapter of Epsilon Gamma, which purchased nearly 70 pavers last year. Penn Staters can learn more about the sorority’s story on the Alumni Association’s website, in addition to purchasing a paver or finding one previously purchased, as the Alumni Plaza is a continuation of the Alumni Walk and Alumni Courtyard.
Alumni Plaza helps fund critical student programs at Penn State
Proceeds from the Alumni Plaza will be placed in a permanently endowed fund that helps two student groups affiliated with the Penn State Alumni Association — the Blue & White Society and the Lion Ambassadors — as well as other student programs like the FastStart program for underrepresented first-year students. These programs help students get to know the Alumni Association, strengthen their connection to the Penn State alumni network, and learn about community, philanthropy, leadership, teamwork and Penn State traditions. All contributions to the Alumni Plaza are fully tax-deductible and will be acknowledged with a receipt from Penn State.
