UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Lion Ambassadors will explore Penn State legends and lore at its annual “Haunted Valley” event on Friday, Oct. 17, from 7-10 p.m. at the Hintz Family Alumni Center and University House. The event is free and open to the public.

University House, attached to the Hintz Family Alumni Center, is the oldest standing structure on the University Park campus and was home to 11 Penn State presidents. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the building, with twists and turns in every direction. Lion Ambassadors will also lead lantern tours around campus, beginning at the Hintz Family Alumni Center.

RSVP for the event here. The final “Haunted Valley” lantern tour will depart at 9:40 p.m., and registration does not guarantee a designated time for the ghost tour or haunted house.

“Haunted Valley gives students, alumni and families a whole new way to experience Penn State,” said Olivia Fisher, Lion Ambassadors executive vice president. “From lantern-lit campus tours and a haunted house that reveal the spooky side of our history, to games and entertainment that capture the best of fall fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Lion Ambassadors, founded in 1981, is the student alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association. Their mission is to communicate the University’s history, personality and traditions to students, alumni and friends through tours and programming.
