Early-bird pricing for We Are Weekend ends Thursday, May 22

Event to feature summer solstice celebration, ice cream social, silent disco, more

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Early-bird pricing will end Thursday, May 22, for We Are Weekend, a two-day celebration that the Penn State Alumni Association hosts each year. Alumni Association members receive an extra discount, and non-members can join when registering. 

The annual event reconnects Penn Staters to what they love about the University and typically draws more than 500 alumni and friends. Alumni and friends can enjoy events across campus, explore world-renowned facilities and programs, and take part in new experiences.  

Additionally, the Class of 1975 will be inducted as Penn State Pioneers during a special ceremony at the Nittany Lion Inn. 

The full agenda is available online and features:  

  • Silent disco at the Business Building 

  • Mingling and mocktails at the Ross Student Farm 

  • Ice cream social at the Hintz Family Alumni Center  

  • Summer solstice celebration at the Arboretum at Penn State 

The weekend activities also include pickleball and cornhole tournaments, luncheons, campus tours, and commemorative photos at campus landmarks such as the Arboretum, Nittany Lion Shrine, and Alumni Center.  

For more than 150 years, the Penn State Alumni Association has provided alumni with a strong and welcoming community representative of the Penn Staters it proudly serves. The association keeps alumni connected to the University and to each other, while upholding Penn State traditions and supporting the University’s mission of teaching, research and service. The association also produces the award-winning Penn Stater magazine and other publications, and offers alumni and friends volunteer opportunities, educational programming, and many other services.
