UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Alumni Career Services will host a trio of upcoming events for Penn Staters looking to boost their skills and learn how to build their networks, including bolstering a professional team. All alumni can register, with Penn State Alumni Association members having access to additional offerings, including a master class on using LinkedIn for career advancement, professional document reviews, three one-on-one career coaching appointments, and mock interviews.

Writing A Strong Resume

Wednesday, March 18, noon–1 p.m.

This engaging and informative webinar will highlight the essential steps to create a resume that stands out, including covering key components and showcasing how to present accomplishments in a compelling way. Additionally, the session will share common mistakes to avoid. A laptop is recommended when signing in.

Networking and the Art of Building Authentic Relationships

Wednesday, March 25, noon–1 p.m.

This regular series will focus on how to unlock the power of meaningful connections, both personally and professionally. The webinar will focus on key strategies, including practical techniques into effective communication, including listening skills and follow-up strategies to help relationships thrive.

Alumni Expert Series: Great Teams Are Built, Not Born

Wednesday, March 25, 7–8 p.m.

Stephanie Wernick Barker, a 2008 Penn State graduate, will discuss her experience in hiring, planning and strategizing to build a powerhouse team. Barker serves as president of Mondo, one of the world's largest national staffing agencies, specializing in tech, digital marketing, creative, executive leadership and AI.
