NORMAN, Okla. — The Golf Coaches Association of America continued announcing its postseason academic awards on Aug. 5 when the Penn State Altoona men’s golf team was named one of its 2024-25 Platform All-Academic Teams.

A GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a Platform Golf Team Academic Award, with Penn State Altoona men’s golf qualifying for the All-Academic Team category by posting a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher last year. The Lions squad was one of 52 NCAA Division III teams recognized for academic success, including being one of 27 in the All-Academic Team category.

Penn State Altoona men’s golf gets its 2025-26 schedule underway on Saturday, August 30, when one squad travels to Grantville, Ohio, to compete in the Ted Barclay Invitational and another team visits Bradford, Pa., for the Pitt-Bradford Invitational.
