ALTOONA, Pa. — Erin Murphy, professor of English at Penn State Altoona, will present a poetry workshop and reading on Sunday, Sept. 7, at ArtsAltoona, 2212 6th Ave., Altoona.
From 1 to 4 p.m., Murphy, who serves as Poet Laureate of Blair County, will offer a workshop in which participants will write poems and enjoy pizza. At 4 p.m., Murphy will read from her new book, “Human Resources,” a collection of poems about labor and employment. Workshop participants will be invited to share the poems they’ve written during Murphy’s reading.
Both events are free, but registration is required for the workshop.
