ALTOONA, Pa. — Several Penn State Altoona performing arts groups will hold auditions over the first few weeks of the fall 2026 semester. Auditions are open to all Penn State Altoona students.
Ivyside Pride Choral Group
Ivyside Pride auditions will be Monday and Wednesday, Aug. 24 and 26, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
Theater Production
Auditions for William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Callbacks will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, in the theater.
Ivyside Dance Ensemble
Ivyside Dance auditions will be held in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., with callbacks from 6 to 8 p.m.
University Jazz Band
Rehearsals are held Wednesdays beginning Aug. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. in room 148 of the Hawthorn Building. No audition necessary; experience of any level on any instrument welcome.
University Pep Band
Rehearsals are held Thursdays beginning Aug. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. in room 148 of the Hawthorn Building. The Pep Band plays during select Penn State Altoona sporting events. No audition necessary; experience of any level on any instrument is welcome.
