LATROBE, Pa. — The Penn State Altoona women’s cross-country team picked up another Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference runner of the week award this season, as Victoria Scutti, of Bellefonte, was named the Women's Runner of the Week for a consecutive week on Oct. 20.
Scutti had the fastest time for the Lions this past Saturday in Gettysburg’s Aubrey Shenk Invitational 6K race, clocking a time of 23:43.8. Her time would earn her 54th place out of 300 individual runners in a highly competitive race that included Division I schools Saint Francis University and Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Scutti's 6k time of 23:43.8 also is the fastest time in the AMCC this season for the women.
Scutti and the Penn State Altoona women’s cross-country team’s next competition is Oct. 24 in Lebanon Valley College’s Last Chance Run Fast Invitational. The race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Union Canal Tunnel Park.
