ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona students are invited to participate in Maymester 2026, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand and focus on sustainability.

For this three-week program, led by Penn State Altoona faculty, students can enroll in either MGMT 297: Sustainability Management Concepts or MGMT 497: Sustainability Management for three credits.

Students will explore topics including carbon neutrality, new building ideas, innovation, environmental sustainability, and conservation through hands-on experiences, visits to sustainability and business practices, and engagement with local business and cultural leaders. They will also have the opportunity to hike in the rainforest, snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, and visit the Sydney Opera House.

This Maymester course is open to all students in all majors and has no prerequisites.
