UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Results from the 2025 Job Satisfaction and Engagement Survey will be discussed during an online presentation at 2 p.m. on Oct. 9. Hosting the event will be Jennifer Wilkes, vice president for Human Resources and chief human resources officer, and Christy Helms, senior director of talent management in Penn State HR, along with Richard Boyer, chief culture strategist at ModernThink, the third-party firm that conducted the survey.
During the livestream session, Boyer will review topline survey results, providing an overview and analysis of feedback provided in February by full-time University staff and technical service employees. Wilkes and Helms will review next steps to turn results into action through fall and into 2026.
The event will be recorded and made available to the community for later viewing.
The survey was sent in February to 13,834 staff members across Penn State, with 7,188 — or more than 52% — taking part.
The survey was sent to full-time staff, technical service employees, administrators, executives and academic administrators to provide insight into the lived experience of Penn State employees, and sought to better understand staff engagement and job satisfaction in areas such as collaboration; communication; inclusion, belonging and community; benefits; well-being; and performance management.
A separate COACHE faculty job satisfaction survey was also launched this spring with results also slated to be shared this fall.
